The love of Money is the root of all Evil(1 Tim.6:10)
The love of money is deemed to be the root of all evil. It has got two sides like coin. We all need money for every thing we want to do on earth including preaching of the gospel. We need it for our well being amd upkeep. To acquire the basic necessities of life like clothing, shelter and food, one needs money. Talk of acquiring basic education, money is needed, to ensure posts in the political circle, money is needed. If you want to seek election into the public posts; Councillorship, Governorship etc, you won't be taken serious without money spending money is not the problem but getting.it is what constitutes the two sides.of the coin.
MEAN OF GETTING MONEY
1) Legitimate 2) Illegitimate
Getting money legitimately simply reveals money gotten through salary earnings, through services rendered( Lawyers, Doctors, Accountants, Bricklayers, Tailors, Contractors etc). Sometimes some are not contemted with the volume of money got legitimately, through these means. They have to find means of manipulating to get more money. By this, some result to armed robbery, uaing weapons to deprive people of their hard earned money. Some steal oher people preoperties and sell it to get money, some kidnap human beings, some engage in hired assasination. Some embezzle money meant for the public, some who are in position of authority divert public fund to their presonal purses. Some use human blood to make money. All these culminate to illegitimate acquisition of wealth, they are unlawfully acquired.
Why do people acquire money in this way? The reason for this is simple. It is just because of the high taste. They want to be reckoned with anywhere. They want to ride in exotic car, live in mansions, oppress others and give themselves undue exaltation. That fact still remains that since everything has got the beginning and certainly, there must be an end to everything that is why the book of Eccl.3:1 buttressed this fact that, "Vanity". Whatever you acquire in this world, whether houses, motor, cars etc will certainly be a thing of the past.
Solomon, the rich man ever, even seemed to regret to have wasted his time acquiring wealth. That was why he gave that assertion that the end of everything is vanity. So, for you to be cheating others, killing and maiming, embezzling, robbing etc just to get wealth is a waste of time because one day the end will come when you will pay your last debt which is death. The Bible says in Rom.6:23 "the wages of sin is death". if death is the wages of sin and that the same Bible tells us that "no sinner will inherit the kingdom of God". Where then do you want to belong? Let me assure you of something, there is hope for you because you are still alive. What is that hope? Jesus is the hope for your salvation. Rev.3:20 says "Behold, I stand at the door and knock, if any man hear my voice and open the door, i will come in to him, and will eat with him and he with me".
Are you ready to open up for Jesus? He is standing right at the door of your heart knocking, if you open up, he will enter and give rest. Repent and forsake your sins, surrender to him today is your day. Let that voice ring into your ears as it did to Zachaeus in Luke 19:9"..... this day is salbation come to this house.....

Dear God, i admit i am a sinner going to hell, i know that i can not save myself, i repent of my sins and put my faith in the blood that you shed for me on thw cross to pay for all my sins. I now accept you as my saviour and trust you take me to heaven. THANK you for saving me, Amen.
