Little did lot know about what would be of Sodom and Gomorah when he ignorantly choose to live in the place. Lot chose to settle and had his base in Sodom and Gomorah. It was a land blessed with milk and honey. It was fertiled land.
11 "Then lot chose him all the plain of jordan: and lot journeyed east: and they separated themselves the one from the other".
12 "Abram dwelled in the land of Canaan, and lot dwelled in the cities of the plain and pitched the tent towards Sodom."
13 " But the men of Sodom were wicked and sinners before the Lord exceedingly. "(Gen 13:11-13).
This is how the people of the present day world are wicked and sinners before the Lord exceedingly. "
Man has turned to be enemies of themselves. We have cases of genocides in some nations of the world where scores of heads of human beings are wiped away just like thst all in the name of war.
Ruwanda, Pakistan, Mexico. In this world, we have cases of people using flesh to prepare delicasies such as Suya and pepper soup.
Wickedness in this world goes to the extent of targeting loaded airbuses and forcefully bring them down to crash into the ocean or to the mountain.
What then becomes the fate of the innocent souls therein will be nothing but horrible death that will throw scores of family into pain, agony and gnashing of teeth. The United State of America will ever live to tell the woe tales of September 11. When the tallest buildings in the world, world trade fair were raced down. Several thousands of people died.
Recently, four students of the university in Nigeria were lintched to death for a rootless offence. Their families are still in pain and agony.
Wickedness continues in the area of willfully depriving peopleof their landed properties. We have cases where people selling landed properties of another man without his consent. People take one another man' s wives or husband at will.
They encourage them to file divorce suites against their partners.
We have men highly placed in the society that will keep their daughters in the best institutions in the world, but they would come around to be sugar daddy for the poor man's daughters all in the name of helping them financially.
There are some in this wild world who know how to keep their children, planning for their future but they are wicked enough in that they use other children as rituals to make money and use that money to keep their own children.
We have cases of men having sex with animals while ladies giving out their bodies to the animals. The heads churches and some head of states are trying hard to pass gay activities into law. This is where men sleep with man and ladies with ladies. God frowns at this too much , flood disaster is everywhere, homes were submerged where people drown.
Let alone the wickedness of man that grief the heart of God, natural disasters and catastrophic event constitutes what makes this world to be hard to live. Volcanic eruption is very rampart in the recent past. There was eruption in Europe, Japan, Chile, and the recent one was in Italy, in the city of LAQUILA. It killed over 300 people.
The current BOKO-HARAM insurgent in Nigeria is not what to write home about. Human beings, are being slaughtered lime rams. Town and villages are being torn away. Churches are being bombarded and lives taken emass and buried under the roofs of thier houses.
What do all these things do or suggest is nothing but making life in this our worthless meaningless and hopeless.In order words, it makes no where in the world to be save again. One of the end time symptom which the bible specifies im Matthew 24:6". You will hear war and rumours of war, it is haooening. War is everywhere in Sudan, Libya, Egypt, Lebanon, Syria etc. Looking at all these very carefully, one will care to ask this question, is the world save again? Then what is to be done is to hope for an escape route so that the final destruction will not catch us unaware.
When God saw that the world was no more save in the time of Lot, he sent angels to Lot to show him an escape route, rescue him and his household to a save place on the mountain.
And it came to pass, when they had brought them forth abroad that he said, escape for thy life: look not behind thee; neither stay thee in the plain escape to the mountain lest thou be consumed. (Gen 19：17).
Likewise in this our dispensation the similar loving warming voice of God is sounding repeatedly into our ears: escape to the mountain and not to the plain. That mountain is Jesus christ. "The name of the Lord is a strong tower, the righteous runneth into it and he is save."(Proverb 24:10).
God had sent His only son, Jesus christ to us to come and show us an escape route to give us liberty and freedom and to make us avert the impending condemnation and the imminent destruction of the wicked.
16. For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son that whosoever believeth in him should not perish but have everlasting life. "
17. For God sent not his son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through him might be saved. "
18. "He that believeth in him is not condemned: but he that believed not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten son of God".(John 3:16-18)
Therefore, to escape from this world and the wrath of God is to believe, give your life to Jesus and be saved.
Therefore, if you have not given your life to him, you are not far away from the wrath of God that is coming. You can do so now, tomorrow may be late.
